Your reminder again
It is better not to get too involved with your own disturbing emotions. Just as someone on a journey sees many things passing by, you can just observe the scenery, without stopping to explore it nor feeling alarmed by what you perceive.

觀察自己的煩惱
鍛煉自心的方法是觀察自己的煩惱,以何者為偏盛,就在那個煩惱上痛加對治,
如貪煩惱偏盛就修不淨觀;
如瞋煩惱偏盛就修慈心觀;
如疾煩惱偏盛就修緣起觀;
如嫉煩惱偏盛就修自他平等觀;
如我慢增盛就修謙虛觀;
如果各種煩惱都一樣的熾盛,或妄念繁多就修數息或持息觀。

Compassion
Compassion is more than the wish to free others from their suffering; it must also include the commitment to actually do so.

Courage
When you face the suffering of others with love, their suffering will not hurt you, nor will you become discouraged. In fact, the love that accompanies your attention to their suffering will increase your courage and determination to free them from their suffering.

a great reminder for me...
"You should let your virtues warm you from within. Do not let them stay locked up and frozen inside you."

Bodhisattvas
To be true heroes, we need to generate a noble aspiration. We resolve with all our heart to work to benefit others, no matter what. A truly noble resolve can produce noble conduct. Those who harbor noble aspirations for the world and engage in noble conduct are what we call “bodhisattvas”.
